Product Description
Slip Ring is composed of materials such as copper, steel, or phosphor bronze. In order to ensure that the rings are damaged as little as possible, it was built using the notion of having an extremely hard exterior compared to the material of carbon brushes. Slip rings are employed in an AC induction motor, often known as a wound-rotor motor, not to transmit power but rather to introduce resistance into the rotor windings. Three copper slip rings are used in the motor. One of the three phases of the rotor windings is coupled with each slip ring.
